My name is James Tautuku and I am a Ngaruahinerangi uri. I am part of the dance crew IDentity and we are representing Aotearoa at the Hip Hop International – World Hip Hop Dance Championships to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Our dance crew IDentity are currently undefeated for 2013. We hold the National Title from the Street Dance NZ Hip Hop Dance National Championship. For more info on our dance crew check out the links below:

I am the only member in IDentity hailing from Taranaki and see this as the perfect opportunity to promote Taranaki Performing Arts on the world stage in the Hip Hop scene.
I am currently fundraising for both myself and the crew and we have estimated that we need to fundraise $40,000 to compete at the World Championship this year which includes travel (to and from NZ and the USA, also travel while we are in the USA), accommodation and food for the duration of our time at the competition and Competition Registration Fees. We have our work cut out for us, but we are determined to raise the funds, make the journey and hopefully return to NZ with the gold. We are currently creating and developing our own fundraisers so we hopefully will have the majority of our costs covered from these events and ideas we are putting together. All of our Maori and Pacific members are working hard to save and also seek sponsorship. Many of us are full time students, including myself, so as you are my whanau I thought I would get in touch, share my story and see if you are interested in any way to help me achieve my dreams and represent not only New Zealand but Taranaki and Ngaruahinerangi out there on a global scale.
Any contributions will be greatly appreciated. Bank account details for any monetary donations are TSB 15-3950-0524741-26 under J A Tautuku.
