Dr. Te Aroha Hohaia

Te Aroha is relatively new to iwi and hapū governance and came to it with a background in community development and local government. As a Te Korowai trustee, Te Aroha is also a director on Te Kīwai Mauī o Ngāruahine Limited and Ngāruahine Fisheries Limited.

Te Aroha has considerable governance experience having served on the Taranaki District Health Board, the TSB Community Trust, TSB Group Limited and Access Radio Taranaki Trust. Current governance roles include Director on Trinity Home & Hospital Limited, Trustee on Bishop’s Action Foundation and Bashford-Nicholls Charitable Trust, Chair of Te Ara Pae Trust and Treasurer for Waiōkura Marae & Reserves Trust.

When she’s not at work as a facilitator in strategic planning, organisational development and project management, Te Aroha is a keen fair-weather tramper and a photographer.
