Raised by fierce and staunch Ngāruahine māreikura, Tauke has been immersed in Te Ao Māori me ōna tikanga katoa from birth.


He has a strong ambition to see all Ngāruahine uri being involved, actively participating, and given opportunities and the encouragement to return to their tūrangawaewae. He is driven to improve communications of hapū and iwi, the development of hapū-centric strategies and their implementation.

His working background will support the practices and effective management of Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga katoa, hapū and iwi stories, and hapū assets.


There are certain and specific practices to Ngāruahine that make us who we are and Tauke is focused on ensuring that the unique qualities of our iwi continue, that they are fit for purpose and that the integrity and legacy of our tūpuna are upheld.
