Te Ahu has extensive knowledge of tikanga, mātauranga and te reo and he contributes extensively to Te Korowai Board. He is committed to doing the best for his whānau, hapū and iwi. He remembers fondly those who have paved the way forward for us all and the sacrifices they’ve made, ‘e kore rātou e warewaretia’.

Te Ahu currently works for Ngāti Tama ki Te Waipounamu Trust as Te Pouhāpai Tikanga and has long been involved in the education sector. He is excited about the next phase of development with the Board and acknowledges the increase of competent reo speakers amongst the new Board members.
